Today I am sending you an indirect message from the animals. They are speaking through Martha Beck. Yes, really. If you haven’t yet read her latest book, Finding Your Way in a Wild New World; Reclaim Your True Nature to Create The Life You Want, you really need to. I don’t often tell people what they need to do but this time, I am. This is one of those books that can change your life.
For me, the book is a validation of what I have known and taught for years. A reminder that I am not alone in my understanding of how this magical world works and that I am not alone in my desire, my deep need to bring more love, compassion and understanding to this world. Turns out I am a member of a Team. A team of “menders”. I suspect you are too.
Martha shares information that certainly has been out there in other forms before but her way of communicating this same information is so authentic, touching, real and often laugh-out-loud funny that it has the potential to turn a wave of “new thought” into a tsunami. She shares her experiences and insights in a way that even those who haven’t been out here on the edge for a while (aka skeptics) will appreciate.
Trust me when I tell you that you will see yourself and your future in a different more positive light. That which you thought was bad luck, crappy karma or stupid choices may not be so. But you will need to actually do the exercises she provides for you. (And she will tell you this as well).
She shares easy, doable tools to help you live in the present moment (her term is wordlessness) and to be heart connected (her term oneness). She also presents practical and magical things you can do to create a life you love that’s filled with lots of rest and play.
I know this stuff works.
Right now I am heading off to speak at the Minnesota Social Services Association Annual Training Conference. I’m being paid to talk about something that I am passionate about (and for which I have no formal training) and that feeds my soul. Something I believe can change people’s lives. I didn’t “work hard” for this opportunity, it just “magically” landed in my lap.
I’m not nervous. I’m not anxious. I know I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
